Decisions

People don't seem to understand that life is less about luck and more about decisions.

Almost everything a person does requires some kind of decision and sometimes what seems like small ones make the biggest difference.

For instance, I know a person who wears mostly hand me down shoes, or buys shoes on sale depending on their price or style rather than how well they fit. This person has bunions and clubbed toes. Eventually this is going to effect their walking. They choose quantity, style, and price, over fit. Bad choice in the long run.

Single mothers must often work to support their families, but how they use their time off of work decides their health, the health of their children and the actual quality of their children's lives. Good priorities pay off.

Diet is another important choice. Choose only processed foods, foods high in sugar and no vegetables and eventually your health will show it. A body is built and maintained by the things that are fed to it.

Buying things that make you look wealthier or more prosperous can be the thing that keeps you from legitimately being wealthier and prosperous.

Dying your hair may make you a beautiful blonde in your youth, but after thirty years of dying, your hair may start to dry out and thin. Choices!

My sister and I both sunbathed as young women. I quit early on. She did not. If you lay her hand and arm next to mine, hers looks twenty years older.

We want to feel good so we lie to ourselves about so many things, but the human body does not thrive on lies. Like any other living thing it depends on the care it gets.

Don't make your old age any harsher than it already will be.
